PROJECT ABLE PERMANENT HOUSING PROGRAM
Eligibility: Single male individuals who are homeless
and are recovering from chronic alcohol or drug abuse are
eligible. Individuals must be willing to maintain sobriety
and work towards self-sufficiency through employment, education,
and job skills training.
Program Components
- Each participating individual's needs are comprehesively assessed by a team of professional case managers.
- Individualized case plans are developed in cooperation with the client and the case management team.
- Weekly Life Skills classes are held to specifically assist clients with the skills necessary to improve employment potential and improve job retention.
- Education and job training opportunities are encouraged through case management and support.
- A drug-free and alcohol-free environment is provided.
- Intensive case management services are provided which include client linkage to resources, advocacy and coordination of services as necessary.
