102 N. Denver Tulsa, OK 74103-1824 PHONE: 918-583-7840 FAX: 918-582-4363
HELP IS AVAILABLE FOR OUR NEEDIEST CHILDREN
While parents seek employment, job training and life skills instruction or participate in other economic recovery programs this Salvation Army childcare location provides a trained professional staff, nutritious meals, developmental progressive learning curriculum and a cheerful secure environment for newborns through 12 years of age.
It is a three-star rated center and is licensed to care for 87 children. With on-site medical and limited dental care available, these young children are ensured they will receive required immunizations and other basic healthcare needs. This child development center is:
- DHS approved
- All staff have Child Development Associate (CDA)
As parents work with Salvation Army Caseworkers to learn tools for a re-entry into the job force and retention of employment, various life skills including budgeting, nutrition, personal hygiene, parenting — things we take for granted — they remain residents of a supportive housing program. Therefore, children may remain in this center until they are too old. During this time transportation is provided to and from school for after-school program participants.
