THE TULSA SALVATION ARMY ADVISORY ORGANIZATIONS

Tulsa Advisory Board

Is comprised of 45 active members who are elected to serve a one to three year term. They meet at Area Command Headquarters on the third Tuesday during the lunch hour from September through June.

• Providing expert insight, advice and assistance for the overall operation of the nine Salvation Army locations in the metro-Tulsa area.
• Providing financial support to various projects in the metro-Tulsa Salvation Army organization as necessary.

Tulsa Women's Auxiliary

With over 170 members, the Tulsa Women's Auxiliary meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. September through May at the Tulsa Area Command Headquarters. The purpose of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary is to support the work of The Salvation Army by functioning as a fundraising and volunteer service group to strengthen the hands of those who have dedicated their lives to the cause of serving others.

• Allocate funds from fund raising activities to the 8 metro Salvation Army facilities.
• Serve as leaders for any fund raising activities they choose to undertake to provide additional support for all 8 Salvation Army locations.
• Assist with the registration of clients who seek help during the holiday season.
• Assist with the Christmas Toy Shop distribution to needy families.
• Assist with special receptions, provide child development volunteers and help with other Salvation Army requests as time permits.
